Rosies's Journey

From Apprentice to Site Supervisor

Rosie joined the Level 3 Water Environment Worker Apprenticeship with a passion for the outdoors but no formal experience in the field. Through hands-on training, she developed skills in flood management, habitat restoration, and invasive species control, gaining key industry certifications. After completing her placement with the River Stewardship Company, Rosie secured a full-time role and was soon promoted to Site Supervisor, leading projects such as the restoration of Gledhow Valley Woods in Leeds. She now manages environmental works independently and aims to progress into Project Management, focusing on erosion control and habitat restoration.
