A big welcome to Daisy, who has joined Riverlution as our new Business Development Intern from the University of Sheffield! 🎉

Over the coming months, Daisy will be supporting the recruitment of participants to our skills programmes and creating marketing content to help share the exciting work we do across our communities.

We're thrilled to have her with us and can't wait to see the fresh ideas and energy she brings to the team. Welcome aboard, Daisy! 🌱

Last week, our UK Youth group headed to the beautiful Rivelin Valley to carry out a survey of the local becks.

The group rolled up their sleeves to help care for the environment, collecting three bags of litter and monitoring the area for invasive species. 🌿

Looking back on Q1, we're incredibly proud of what we've achieved together. 🎉

Between our Humber and South Yorkshire partnerships, Riverlution facilitated an amazing 473 hours of volunteering. From improving local environments to bringing communities together, these hours represent the passion and commitment of people making a real difference where it matters most.

As we move further into Q2, we've been reflecting on everything achieved in Q1, and the results have been incredible. One standout highlight: between April and June 2026, Riverlution generated an impressive £860,527 in social impact, creating lasting benefits for people, communities, and the environment. 🌿

As part of the UK Youth Summer Work Placements programme, Kaiden joined Roxy to survey the Sheffield Becks in Buck Wood, Gleadless Valley. 🌳

The day involved identifying and recording fly-tipping hotspots, while Kaiden developed valuable skills using our GIS mapping programme. 📍

A huge thank you to the Environment Agency team who joined Riverlution last Thursday for a volunteer day on the Five Weirs Walk. 🌿

Working near Salmon Pastures, the group completed track maintenance to improve the route for walkers, cyclists, and the local community while supporting Sheffield's riverside environment. 🚲
